Open Question: How can I not be discouraged and get into the video game industry?
I really adore video games and my dream job would be to work with a video game company like Ign. The only problem is that it seems pretty unrealistic. I couldn't figure out which aspect I would be best in and it seemed like the job offers (on ign careers website) were in software engineer or marketing. I think software engineer would be too complex of a job for me and marketing is so high in demand that it's super difficult to receive a good job in. I like art but I don't think I could be the "BEST" in a marketing job. My dad thinks I should go into something practical so that I don't go back to school and change my major and when I brought up the marketing idea he said it was stupid/crazy since no one gets the job. If I adore video games wouldn't I work difficult to receive that job? I also heard that they want to hire more women in these video game industries so I might have a better chance. Is my dream realistic? Should I take such a huge risk? We don't have the money to waste on spending too much time in school. I was considering accounting just to receive a job but I don't know anything about accounting...and it seems nice of boring. I also live in a state that is random and that has NO major video game companies which sucks. I don't even think a major video game company would even write me back if I sent them a message about how to receive into the industry. Should I try to email Ign? I don't know what to do..

Open Question: Outlook 2000, 2003, and 2007?
I'm currently having a problem at work, with trying to generate e-mail signatures in microsoft outlook, for the office. As a marketing assistant I have to make sure that every email signatures appear the same. The problem I keep running into is that only a few employees have Outlook 2007 (which the email signature was designed in), some have Outlook 2003, and most have Outlook 2000. The email signature that my supervisor has generated includes multiple colors, and a jpeg image. Each version of Outlook seems to respond differently when I try to enter it. I was wondering if anyone would have an idea of how to deal with this?

I have a single parent and i want to start supporting myself instead of having my mom support me. I've applied every around but no one seems to call back and some flat out reject me. I really need a job. Ive searched online but every these site require my email address and phone number, i don't think its legitamate. The first job i applied to was a place called Vector marketing, but i did some research only to find out its a scam. I really need help. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Open Question: Ex-boyfriend/ closure advice?
PLEASE no mean or hateful comments. I understand my relationship is over, I'm just wondering how to receive closure. So this may be nice of long, but I'm going to try to give an overview of what happened. I met a guy in radio and radio involves a lot of moving around the country if you want to move up in markets. We fell in adore, he got a job 8 hours away. I was still in school moved with him 8 hours away from my family and took an extra semester of school to transfer. Then when I had 6 months of school left (1 semester) he gets a job 24 hours away. This was a full-time position and before he had only had part-time positions so I understand he had to take it. The thing is we were talking marriage and he took this job and just told me he was moving, we didn't make this decision together. I don't think that's something you do when you're trying to form a good relationship with someone so I was quite mad, but supported him. He moved in Jan. 2010 then in March I went to look him over spring break, while I was out there my grandfather passed away. I had to arrive home and it felt like I had no one after I had been there for him (his grandfather had passed away the previous summer). After every I was left by him in a odd town with hardly any friends and no family. This made me quite mad and I wasn't so sure I could follow someone around the relax of my life. Not even 4 days after my grandpa's funeral I told him I wasn't sure I could be with him and keep moving around. Then a couple days later I called to talk to him, and he said that he wouldn't allow me to move out there, he didn't want me to. I understand I had made him mad and that's why he was saying this. After a week or two we were on talking terms again and tried to be friends, but I would receive upset when I talked to him, so I clip off communication. Then we started talking again back in june and I said some hateful things to him because he was coming back to a town close to me and didn't want to look me at every (I understand we're not together, but I just needed some closure on the situation and he acted like he still cared). Since I said those hateful things to him (middle of june) he hasn't talked to me at every. Tonight I sent him an email apologizing for being so mad and mean to him. I know he's done things wrong and so have I, this isn't an attempt to receive back together with him, but I would like to talk to him again and maybe develop a friendship again, we were best friends. Do you think since I apologized he'll ever talk to me again? This just hurts so much and I need some closure. I've never had a boyfriend move half-way across the country, so I know we'll never run into each other. In my past relationships I think I've gotten closure by running into an ex looking really good and he looks like hell then I'm over it, but I know that isn't going to happen this time. Ugh. It's just difficult to live with someone and care deeply about them, then NEVER look them again. How do you cope with this?

From vistaprint.com you can buy a list of addresses for marketing purposes. I've had a pal who did this and she just viewed it online. But when I bought them they sent me an email saying it shipped a few minutes later and I could view the list from a link in the email. I clicked it and I still couldn't receive to it. Open Question: Classes for those with Special Needs?
I’m looking at starting a company offering classes for those with special needs throughout the UK and was wondering if anyone knew anyone who offers such classes, no matter what subject. I am doing some market research to look if they would be willing to pay £25-£40 a month for someone to book sessions, keep track of calendars, chase payments, answer telephone calls, respond to emails and postal duties. They would also receive a page on the company website, business cards and advertising and marketing. It’s a long shot but I thought it would be worth a try. Open Question: Direct Buy Using A Spammer For Email Solicitations?
Direct Buy is another one of those companies that do not know how to market their products and services on the Internet. For months now I have been receiving junk email from a company reportedly based in Florida. You cannot unsubscribe from their lists, because you just receive put on another one. Never buy anything from an unsolicited email. This is the reason spam exist. Everyone hates spam, but someone is buying or they would go away. I am asking that if you are doing a search on the Internet and you find this post that you consider the unethical marketing practices and Direct Buy's disregard for your privacy.

Open Question: Should i send ex best friend an email a year after her physically assaulting me?
A year ago my supposed best pal physically assaulted me.Her attack was brutal and she told me i was nothing and could never take responsibility for anything. I was always taking responsibility for her and her pathetic emotional meltdowns,whilst struggling to start up my possess business alone. Her life revolved around men who never wanted her, because at the time i had the luxury of not getting the same attention she did. I focussed on building my self esteem, respect, my confidence became more than hers and she became jealous. Anyway quick forward a year later, i've become friends with Naomi Campbells old stylist who offered to give me free vintage clothes, i did a photoshoot for the fa cup and mcdonalds corporation, and i landed a media opportunity with the NHS, i was asked to stay longer but that wasn't my scene.I even did my possess photography marketing campaign where i got over 300 responses back. Do i send her a look at me now email, or just move forward with my life.I deleted every her numbers but i've still got her email. Maybe sending her one will help me move on completely from the attack, As it was so brutal i looked like i'd been attacked by men.

Voting Question: Sprint Facebook for HTC Sense problem?
I just got the Sprint HTC EVO yesterday and I cannot log into the Facebook for Sense application. I do the following: Gone to the Home Screen Clicked on MENU Clicked on SETTINGS Clicked on ACCOUNTS & SYNC Selected ADD ACCOUNT Selected FACEBOOK FOR HTC SENSE When I enter my email and password and sign in I receive this mistake "Warning, The service is currently unavailable. Do you want to try again?" I've had this problem since I got the phone. The regular Facebook for Android logs in and works fine but that app doesn't sync your Facebook friends photos and status updates to your contacts in the EVO, only the Sense version does. Has anyone else had this problem. Sprint customer service had me do the software update in the Market but that updates only the Facebook for Android. I've also done complete restores. The HTC website does not offer a current software download from their website for this phone, you have to do it from the phone which says I have the most current software. Any suggestions??? Hey! I am in the market for a new Verizon phone, and I think that I am going to go with a smart phone this time. I was playing around with the Droid X today and I must say it seems pretty fantastic. My priorities in a smart phone are 1. Voice Recorder 2. A head phone input 3. MP3 player 4. Email 5. A good Camera 6. A sufficient amount of memory 7. a qwerty keyboard 8. Turn by Turn Navigation system 9. Web Browser 10. Good Battery Life These are not in any specific order. I am just looking for any recommendations fellow Verizon users can give me. Voting Question: How do I handle an annoying Ebay Buyer (About Shipping & Handling Charges)?
So, an annoying ebay buyer ended up bidding for two of my items, and winning both. One item was listed as $8.99 shipping and the other was free shipping (I was trying two marketing techniques to look which sell better). Anyways, after he won both items, he emails me to combine shipping and make it cheaper. First off, isn't it already cheap enough for shipping to be $8.99 (I didn't add anything for the free shipping item). He complained and wanted it cheaper. I told him I'd reduce the price and did so to $6.99.. he ended up emailing me saying "A priority flat rate box is $5.50 and insurance for $100+ is $.75.. I thought you would give me free shipping for both because I spent so much money on the items" and I responded saying that TWO sunglasses aren't going to fit a measly little flat rate box and that I'm using a custom box and custom wrapping for his items. I'm so pissed and I'm even more pissed thinking about him leaving me negative feedback because he's being so cheap. Anyways, any thoughts or help on how to respond to him if he comes back emailing me again?

I graduated with bachelor of science in mathematics in May 2008 and I applied for an entry level position in an information technology company which required BS in math or computer science. The job description emphasized that no work experience is necessary and that the applicant must have bachelor degree in math or CS to receive any consideration. A recruiter from that company contacted me on phone and took a 30 minute interview. He seemed very interested and said that I should relocate for the job. I agreed to relocate. The recruiter said that my salary would be considered based on GPA and experience. I told the recruiter on phone interview that my GPA is not that high. He said the degree is main thing and that even if low GPA is there, its still not a direct disqualification from job. I told the recruiter I have 2.3 cumulative GPA, but that I had several A grades in various math courses like calculus, statistics, computer science, applied math, operations research, etc etc. The recruiter seemed please and it sounded I would receive the position. He said a salary of $33,280 an year would be offered as start due to GPA and no professional work experience, if hired. He then said that he wants me to email him the transcript and that they will call me for second interview in the office. On March 23, 2010, GATA Director Adrian Douglas was contacted by a whistleblower by the name of Andrew Maguire. Maguire is a metals trader in London. He has been told first-hand by traders working for JPMorganChase that JPMorganChase manipulates the precious metals markets, and they have bragged to how they make money doing so. In November 2009 Maguire contacted the CFTC enforcement division to report this criminal activity. He described in detail the way JPMorgan Chase signals to the market its intention to take down the precious metals. Traders recognize these signals and make money shorting the metals alongside JPM. Maguire explained how there are routine market manipulations at the time of option expiry, non-farm payroll data releases, and COMEX contract rollover, as well as ad-hoc events. On February 3 Maguire gave two days' warning by e-mail to Eliud Ramirez, a senior investigator for the CFTC's Enforcement Division, that the precious metals would be attacked upon the release of the non-farm payroll data on February 5. On February 5, as market events played out exactly as predicted, further e-mails were sent to Ramirez while the manipulation was in progress. It would not be possible to predict such a market move unless the market was manipulated. Maguire sent Ramirez e-mails throughout the day detailing the manipulation in real time. After the final e-mail, Ramierez responded with "I have received and reviewed your email communications. Thank you so very much for your observations." and to my knowledge, not much has been done since. Investigations have been opened - months ago - but there is little wish that JP Morgan will be punished. Even if JP Morgan is punished - they have made billions on these manipulations - does anyone believe the punishment will fit the crime? a guy that I work: - blushes (sometimes) when he sees me or talks to me - acts nervous/fidgety - catches my eye and holds it till I look away - stares below his brow if I'm talking with another guy - lingers nearby to hear to conversations I'm having with others - turned around and he was staring and quickly puts his head down - let me catch him checking me out - half smiles - sometimes "repeats" why I have said and laughs - like 1 time in a meeting I was commenting on ---what another person had just said and the guy in question repeats my comment and laughs - a tension between us when we are alone in a space - like we both are super silent - comes to my meetings and just listens in - recently joined a marketing project and when I went in and sat down he looked straight at me and asked "I thought you were on another project right now?" I said, "yes but this 1 too." He says, "oh very good, very good for you!" During the meeting he kept staring at me, getting up and down, playing with pictures on the wall and started to blush. - today he sent me an email (he never does) and asked if I could add him to my downtown conferences in two weeks from now. - on my way out today I was walking, we made eye contact again and I just put my head down and he came close me and said "goodnight annie, have a fantastic weeked!" He's usually silent around me, has been in the past except for a few brief "hellos".... Is he just being friendly or are these signs that he might be interested in me?

Voting Question: Which businesses are most-likely to hire an inexperienced teen?
I've been looking for a job for about a year (I've never had one before) and I've applied to McDonald's, Kmart, Popeye's, Boston Market, etc. and I've gotten either no answer or an impersonal "we regret to inform you that you do not meet minimum qualifications" email. I'm 16 years old, honest, trustworthy, and a difficult worker (not trying to toot my possess horn, but still) and i can't receive so much as a call back or interview to prove it to the establishments I apply to. Where should I apply for a guaranteed job? (an interview or some sort of positive answer at the least) P.S. Some places also require a resume, what format should I use that won't show off my lack of experience?
